US-based post-purchase online retail solution provider Narvar has acquired Indian end-to-end logistics management software as a service (SaaS) platform GoPigeon to enhance its position in the Asia-Pacific e-commerce market.

The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition will also enable Narvar to pursue platform development with additional engineering talent.

GoPigeon is expected to offer operations support to Narvar and enhance its global growth.

Narvar founder and CEO Amit Sharma said: "Having grown our business in North America, we are now well-positioned to scale our platform to international markets.

“Bringing on GoPigeon allows us to realise this vision more quickly and respond to the growing demand from current clients and prospects to bring great post-purchase experiences to their customers worldwide."

Having a client base of more than 400 brands and retailers, Narvar increased its revenue by three times in the last 12 months and added over 100 new customers in the current year.

The company will leverage the expertise of GoPigeon's engineering team to expedite its machine learning capabilities.

GoPigeon recently launched the Intelligent Courier Allocation (ICA) artificial intelligence system that enables retailers to ensure optimal utilisation of their carrier networks based on customer needs.

GoPigeon co-founder and CEO Deovrat Singh said: "The GoPigeon team is joining Narvar at a pivotal point in the maturation of the post-purchase category they created.

"Together, we will empower retailers to give consumers the experiences they crave after they click 'buy."

Narvar aims to help retailers to maintain customer engagement after a purchase is made to drive brand loyalty.
