US-based technology company Oracle has announced the availability of its Oracle Retail Merchandising Solutions as a service through the Oracle Cloud.
With these services, the company aims to help retailers drive strategic growth in a global retail market by simplifying the user experience and creating a flexible business environment.
Oracle Retail senior vice-president and general manager Ray Carlin said: “Oracle Retail Merchandising accelerates the critical day-to-day operations that impact service levels, inventory margins and key business metrics for retailers worldwide.
“Combined with the support, performance and security of Oracle Cloud, we are providing retailers of all sizes with the most flexible and powerful merchandising solution available today.”
Serving as a suite of software-as-a-service solutions, the Oracle Retail Merchandising cloud services provide retailers with capabilities in Oracle Retail Release 16.
The solution uses Oracle’s new retailing methodology, and more than 500 additional metrics introduced with Oracle Retail Insights Cloud Service Release 16 to reduce the amount of time spent by merchandising professionals on nonproductive tasks.
The complete suite of services available in the Oracle Cloud includes Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service, Oracle Retail Integration Cloud Service, Oracle Retail Allocation Cloud Service, and Oracle Retail Invoice Matching Cloud Service.
The style-level invoice matching and best-source allocations tools of Oracle Retail 16 enable merchants to better protect margins and improve service levels.
With the Oracle Retail solutions, managers will be able to view and approve transactions on their preferred mobile device.
