US-based Rutter's Farm Stores has collaborated with omnichannel solutions provider NCR for its OPTIC outdoor payment terminal to reach its increasing customer base.
Rutter's Farm Stores offers petroleum and food services at 65 sites, and has been an NCR partner for more than a decade.
Rutter’s CEO Scott Hartman said: “The open source platform allows us to easily integrate our Rutter’s VIP Club rewards programme, while the new media capabilities extend our storefront marketing to the forecourt.”
NCR OPTIC is a modular, self-service solution that accepts a range of payment options in its standard configuration. It is available in two different sizes; the A5 terminal is for applications with older dispensers, and an A12 widescreen is currently one of the largest and most powerful retrofit options on the market.
It was designed and developed to retrofit most fuel dispensers brands, allowing retailers to easily upgrade their at-the-pump engagements.
NCR retail president Michael Bayer said: “While OPTIC provides Rutter’s the immediate benefit of outdoor EMV compliance, the long-term benefit comes as the company improves its omnichannel experience at the fuel pump.
