Footwear company Skechers has opened its new flagship store at the heart of the World Trade Center’s (WTC) new shopping district in Manhattan, New York, US.

This outlet is an integral part of the launch of the new 500,000ft² centre, which will provide dining experience, stores and entertainment for visitors.

Situtated along the main level of the West Concourse near the WTC Transportation Hub, the store is expected to have 350,000 daily visitors in the area and serve as a primary tourist destination.

Skechers president Michael Greenberg said: “The new shopping district at One World Trade Center is the place to be gorgeous, massive and spectacular, it is one of the biggest retail openings in the US this decade.

“Consumer interest is already tremendous, the foot traffic will be massive, and we cannot wait to welcome the swarms of locals and tourists who will be walking this centre every day.”
