Swedish non-food retailer Granngården has selected Tieto as its partner to create a new solution for its e-commerce and omnichannel operations.

A specialist in gardening, animals and agriculture products, the company will use the solution to lay the basis for online revenue growth.

Granngården has been using SAP Hybris for many years and now selected Tieto to stabilise and renew its systems in a bid to increase sales.

Granngården e-commerce head Monika Dagberg said: “Investments in digitalisation are strategically crucial for expanding our business.

“With Tieto, we can deploy new versions many times faster than before. Short time-to-market and business agility are preconditions for success.”

With 109 stores around Sweden, Granngården is the second customer Tieto has signed with recently within the e-commerce market in the country.

Retail chain Indiska Magasinet, which has around 100 stores in the Nordics, recently partnered with Tieto to implement its solution for its omnichannel operations.

“Investments in digitalisation are strategically crucial for expanding our business."

Tieto vice-president and customer experience management head Jaakko Hartikainen said: “Tieto now has more than 300 employees focusing on digital customer experience covering areas like e-commerce, content management, analytics, personalisation, customer service, store digitalisation and big data.

“Coupled with our vast experience in different industries, core systems and for example cloud and security services, we are able to offer our customers a very strong end-to-end concept.”
