US-based men’s XL apparel retailer Destination XL Group (DXLG) has launched its first mobile app, which was designed in collaboration with mobile commerce company PredictSpring.

According to DXLG, the app has been developed for both on-the-go and in-store shoppers.

DXLG chief digital officer and chief information officer (CIO) Sahal Laher said: “Now, through PredictSpring’s mobile platform, we are able to deliver the products consumers want, when and where they want it, while also creating an enhanced in-store experience.”

The app comprises DXL men’s apparel account and loyalty programme, using which customers can access XL Rewards certificates and point balances for online or in-store use.

"We are able to deliver the products consumers want, when and where they want it, while also creating an enhanced in-store experience.”

It also contains an instant product search feature that enables users to access information such as sizing, colours and availability by scanning product barcodes while shopping in-store.

The store locator feature on the app incorporates Google Maps to allow customers to search for stores nearby and across the country.
