Germany-based plus size clothing retailer Popken Fashion Group has selected open-source software platform Talend to enhance its omnichannel distribution strategy.
Talend offers features, such as cloud, big data, enterprise application integration, data quality and master data management.
Prior to the deal, Popken partnered with QuinScape in 2017 to carry out its data hub strategy to link systems and share information in an application programming interface ecosystem.
Popken Fashion Group software development head Stefan Rahner said: “It’s absolutely necessary for our omnichannel strategy to interchange all of the inventory information between our stores, the main depot, the online shop and our partners.
“Prior to Talend, this interchange took place once a day. Now with Talend we are able to interchange this information in near real-time. Additionally, because of its cloud integration capabilities, Talend will play a key role in supporting our long-term cloud strategy.”
As a part of the deal, Popken’s existing enterprise resource planning has been replaced with Microsoft Dynamics 365 on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
