Luxury re-commerce space platform Rebag has launched its first micro concept retail standalone store, Rebag Bar, in New York City, US.
The 180ft2 store is a micro version of the company’s traditional store, located inside The Shops at Columbus Circle.
The new store has similar features of Rebag shops and will offer luxury items such as bags, watches, fine jewellery and accessories.
All Rebag’s 20,000-item large inventory will be available for purchase at The Rebag Bar digitally.
Additionally, Rebag’s upfront payment offering and seamless selling process will allow luxury owners to sell their items in just one hour.
Speaking of the development, Rebag founder and CEO Charles Gorra said: “We are constantly seeking new ways to democratise luxury resale, and this micro concept will achieve exactly that.
“Throughout this year, we heard from our customers the need to get closer to them. Covid-19 has reshaped urban and suburban consumer behaviours across the country.
“The nimbleness of this new Rebag Bar format will enable a hyper-local and efficient roll-out, therefore maximising convenience for customers.”
Shoppers located outside New York, Florida or California can trade at Rebag via its mobile app and on rebag.com.
The company noted that a ‘unique process’ is in place to offer payment for qualified luxury goods that are accepted in one to two business days for online transactions and less than one hour in stores.
