Discount retailer Target has expanded partnership with membership-based online marketplace Shipt to make its same-day delivery service available across 46 states in the US.
As part of the collaboration, Shipt will deliver various products from Target stores including groceries, gifts, and decorations to customers in one hour.
Customers can choose from more than 55,000 products and place their orders using the Shipt app or Shipt.com.
In addition, the retailer’s Drive Up service will be expanded to about 1,000 stores across the country by the end of this October.
Leveraging the service, customers will be able to place orders on the Target app, which will inform them when the items are ready for collection.
While travelling to the store, the customers can hit an ‘I’m on my way’ button and the store staff will deliver the order in the car park.
The retailer is offering more than 250,000 products such as holiday décor, gifts and households available under the service.
Furthermore, the retailer will offer free two-day shipping option to customers without any minimum purchase and membership starting 1 November.
Target CEO Brian Cornell said: “From same-day delivery with Shipt, Drive Up, Free 2-Day Shipping and more, no other retailer can match the convenient delivery options that Target will offer this season.
“When you combine these services with our incredible assortment of exclusive brands, everyday low prices and skilled team, I’m confident Target will be America’s easiest and most enjoyable place to shop for the holidays and beyond.”
