US-based discount store retailer Target is all set to launch its new Universal Thread brand next month.

Universal Thread will be an exclusive women’s lifestyle brand that will feature denim tops, dresses, accessories and shoes.

The new denim line-up will be priced between $5 and $40.

“This brand is all about ideas and outfits, not just items.”

Target executive vice-president and chief merchandising officer Mark Tritton said:Denim is a part of every woman’s wardrobe, and with fewer options in the marketplace and learnings from the brands we’ve recently launched, we’re excited to bring our guests a lifestyle brand rooted in denim that’s also an amazing everyday value.

“This brand is all about ideas and outfits, not just items. It includes apparel, footwear and accessories that are sure to become guest favourites.”

The retail company further noted that the apparel under the Universal Thread brand will be available in sizes beginning from 00 to 26W.

Last year, Target announced its plan to launch more than 12 new brands in the retail market.

The launch of Universal Thread is reported to be the first brand launch this year by the company and part of its plan to 12 brands launch.
