Supermarket chain The Fresh Market has partnered with Uber Technologies to launch an on-demand and scheduled delivery service in the US.

The service will be available from all 161 of The Fresh Market locations in 22 US states.

Customers can order fresh food, speciality items and new favourites from the retailer’s European-inspired selection through Uber and Uber Eats.

As part of the launch, the partners offer up to 50% discount on orders above $60 with code UBERFRESH.

In addition, Uber One members can get free delivery and 5% off on orders of $35 or more from The Fresh Market.

The Fresh Market chief marketing officer Kevin Miller said: “Providing our guests with Uber Eats on-demand delivery is one more way we’re meeting their needs to shop our stores when and how it best fits their lifestyle.

“We’re excited to launch across all our stores and allow Uber Eats to bring the highest quality fresh foods from around the world to our guests’ doorsteps.”

Uber launched its grocery delivery service in July 2020 and has since expanded through partnerships with major retailers, including the Albertsons Companies, Meijer, Kroger, SpartanNash, Hy-Vee and others.

Recently, Uber Technologies partnered with The Save Mart to launch an on-demand and scheduled grocery delivery service from more than the company’s 190 stores.

Uber US and Canada, grocery and new verticals head Christian Freese said: “For Uber Eats households across much of the US, this is a game-changer for weeknight dinners, school lunches and so many other on-demand delivery moments that can be elevated with The Fresh Markets’ prized speciality ingredients, curated meal kits and more.”
