Singapore-based Guardforce AI has extended a smart retail solutions partnership with a global sportswear brand’s Thailand unit.

The company did not disclose the sportswear brand’s identity and said additional store deployments are scheduled through 2027.

The extension positions Guardforce AI as a technology partner in the client’s nationwide store refurbishment programme.

An initial request covers the deployment of the company’s systems at five additional outlets in 2026, followed by another installation planned for 2027.

Earlier work between the two parties included the implementation of comparable solutions at two stores and the installation of AI-enabled camera systems across 13 additional locations in 2025, after a proof-of-concept phase was completed in mid-2025.

Guardforce AI’s smart retail platform combines AI-based CCTV analytics with RFID inventory tracking.

The integrated system is intended to support retailers in overseeing shop floor operations, stock management and customer movement patterns.

It is designed to improve loss prevention, minimise stock discrepancies and manual processes, and link footfall data with sales results across store networks.

Guardforce AI chairwoman and CEO Lei (Olivia) Wang said: “At Guardforce AI, we are dedicated to providing the best services to our clients. This partnership extension demonstrates our ability to market sophisticated AI-driven smart solutions to leading retail brands.

“We believe these smart solutions can be further deployed across many of the 5,000 retail stores we currently serve via our legacy secured logistics business – a pathway that could generate substantial revenue for our company and drive exponential growth compared to 2025.”

The partnership comes after another recent collaboration in the retail technology sector.

Earlier this month, supermarket group SPAR International renewed its preferred supplier agreement with South Korea’s SOLUM.

The extension confirmed Solum’s position as a global provider of electronic shelf labels and digital signage to Spar-licensed organisations worldwide.
