Nike’s Jordan Brand will open its first US World of Flight flagship store in the US city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 10 October 2025.

Situated at 1617 Walnut Street, the Philadelphia outlet will become the sixth World of Flight location worldwide, following openings in Milan, Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing and Mexico City.

The store occupies a Beaux Arts-style building from the early 1900s and is designed to highlight Philadelphia’s basketball heritage through curated product lines, storytelling and community-focused events.

The new location continues Jordan Brand’s longstanding ties with the city.

Philadelphia hosted the brand’s inaugural class of Wings Scholars in 2015 and remains a base for collaborations with local groups such as the Jalen Hurts Foundation.

The city also holds historic connections to the brand’s namesake. Michael Jordan played his final National Basketball Association game there in 2003, and Jordan Brand co-founder Larry Miller comes from the city.

Jordan Brand president Sarah Mensah stated: “As Jordan Brand enters its next era of greatness, we do so with an eye for furthering our connection to our community. World of Flight is a direct portal to our brand and represents the pinnacle of basketball culture,”

“Opening our first World of Flight door in the US in Philadelphia, where Michael Jordan played his last game and Jalen Hurts is redefining greatness on the football field, is emblematic of the stories, legacy and achievements we continue to create and uplift."

The store will offer a selection of premium Jordan Brand products, exclusive releases, community events and a co-creation experience, alongside the widest available range of the brand’s footwear and apparel.

Jordan Brand North America general manager Jeremy Bolds commented: “We are going to further unite the energy of Philadelphia with MJ’s greatness.

“We are looking to serve a community that’s rich in culture and also drives one of the largest basketball-demand markets in the US.

“We will meet and exceed their needs, not only with an incredible Jordan Brand retail experience but also by expanding out with programming — elevating local athletes, artists, creators and fans.”

In the fourth quarter (Q4) of the fiscal year 2025 (FY25), Nike registered a 12% fall in revenues on a reported basis to $11.1bn.

The brand's net income plummeted 86% to $0.2bn, with diluted earnings per share declining 86% to $0.14.
