US-based home retailer Williams Sonoma has introduced a new food collection developed in collaboration with Oakville Grocery, a 145-year-old Napa Valley grocery store and wine merchant.
The collaboration centres on a range of pantry staples and speciality food products.
The collection draws on the shared “heritage” of both brands in Northern California’s wine country and focuses on artisanal food items.
Williams Sonoma president Felix Carbullido said: “Our passion for Northern California’s Wine Country extends far beyond our Sonoma roots, making this partnership with Oakville Grocery - our neighbours in Napa Valley - a natural fit.
“Together, we are bringing the distinct flavours and rich culinary traditions of the region to customers across the country and celebrating the ingredients that define both Napa and Sonoma as world-class food destinations.”
Products in the Oakville Grocery for the Williams Sonoma line include olive oils, tapenades, braising sauces and condiments.
Ingredients associated with the Napa and Sonoma Valleys feature across the assortment, including fennel, lemon, mustard, olives, rosemary, and spring onions.
According to the retailer, the range is intended for everyday cooking, with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients and artisanal production methods.
The collection is available via all Williams Sonoma retail stores and its online platform.
Oakville Grocery proprietor Jean-Charles Boisset said: “The William Sonoma - Oakville Grocery collaboration celebrates two of Northern California’s most iconic institutions in the world of food and wine.
“With Williams Sonoma, Oakville Grocery celebrates the Napa Valley lifestyle and the artisans, purveyors, farmers and producers that create Northern California’s identity.”
Founded by Chuck Williams in 1956, Williams Sonoma operates under the Williams-Sonoma, Inc. portfolio and focuses on kitchen and home products.
