The Elmina Lakeside Mall is an innovative, nature-inspired outdoor retail centre developed in Selangor, Malaysia.

The project is wholly owned by Malaysian property developer Sime Darby Property. It is the company’s second fully owned mall in the country.

The Elmina Lakeside Mall was officially opened in August 2024. It is established as a vibrant lifestyle community hub for the populace in the region.

Location

The Elmina Lakeside Mall is situated at No. 5, Persiaran Garcinia Elmina West in Shah Alam, Selangor.

The mall is part of the 350-acre (141.6-hectare) freehold city Elmina City Centre, which in turn is part of the 5,000-acre city of Elmina, an integrated and master-planned township.

Elmina City Centre is designed with nine components, among them the Elmina Lakeside Mall, the Vibe, the Core, the CBD and the Elmina Edu Hub.

Elmina Lakeside Mall details

The Elmina Lakeside Mall spans an area of 17.18 acres. It offers a gross floor area of approximately 400,000ft² (37,161m²) with 214,000ft2 of retail space.

It offers more than 100 stores and services, featuring attractions including drive-through restaurants, local and international dining options, home and living stores, service providers, and health and wellness facilities.

The mall also includes ATMs, baby strollers and wheelchair services, a children’s playground, an information counter, an Islamic surau [assembly room for worship], a loading bay, a nursing room and a water feature.

The mall hosts esteemed brands, provides curated offerings and features state-of-the-art amenities, positioning itself as a premier destination for shoppers and investors.

It offers more than 1,000 bays to park 330 motorcycles and 693 cars for free. Bicycle racks are also available.

Elmina Lakeside Mall design and sustainability features

The mall features a refreshing al fresco retail concept, infused with biophilic [the tendency of human beings to enjoy contact with nature] elements such as lakeside dining venues, landscaped walkways, water features and natural settings.

This design reduces reliance on artificial lighting and climate control, leading to a smaller carbon footprint.

ELM also emphasises eco-friendly practices including recycling, segregation and food waste management, while incorporating energy-efficient technologies such as solar panels and LED lighting.

In addition, the mall provides amenities such as electric vehicle chargers to encourage sustainable transportation.

The tenants at the mall include the supermarket Jaya Grocer and the home and living retailers Creative Lab, Harvey Norman, Meija, LG Puricare and Mr D.I.Y.

Leisure and entertainment options include Happy Fish, Pets Wonderland and The Bike Artisans. Retailers such as Anytime Fitness and Little Foot are also available in the mall.

Options for fashion enthusiasts include Aula, Bayu Somerset, F.O.S, Icahfa and Matase Sutera.

The mall accommodates Toys’R’Us, Twigs Bookshop, W Gallery, D’Special Day and the Baby Loft for kids.

It offers salon, beauty and wellness retailers including Caring Pharmacy, NIMROC, Thai Odyssey, Velvet Vanity and Watsons.

Other retailers and services include CASE, Gadget C Store, Machines, Sketchers and 7-Eleven.
