The Parkdene Boulevard retail centre in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni, South Africa, is undergoing redevelopment and expansion to revitalise the shopping experience for customers in the East Rand region of Gauteng.

The project is led by Abland Property Developers, a property development company; and Retail Africa, a property development and investment company; in partnership with Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking, a wholesale banking arm of the Nedbank Group, and the Ellerine Group, a furniture retailer.

The construction commenced in April 2024 and the redeveloped retail centre is anticipated to open in October 2024.

Location of Parkdene Boulevard retail centre

The Parkdene Boulevard retail centre is easily accessible from major access roads such as the R21 and Rondebult Road. Its proximity to residential areas and seven schools positions it as a convenient shopping destination for families and students alike.

The centre is also well-placed to serve a large local population, with more than 4,000 high-density residential units and over 500 free-standing houses located nearby. Additionally, the site is accessible to N12 and N17 highways within a 5km radius further enhancing its accessibility.

Anchor space will be distributed across both floors, with 9,641m² on the ground floor and 957m² on the first floor. The first floor will also accommodate a gym.

The centre will offer a total of 1,440 parking bays, comprising 1,278 standard bays and 14 delivery bays, to support the increased capacity.
