China-based company Alibaba Group Holding’s IT hiring an increased 21.0% in June 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
The company’s overall hiring activity an increased by 19.3% in June 2021 when compared with May 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 5.89% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2021, and recorded a flat growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Alibaba Group Holding IT hiring in June 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Alibaba Group Holding, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 92.13% in June 2021, and a 74.02% drop over May 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 4.17% in June 2021, and registered an 82% decline. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 3.7% in June 2021, a 50% drop from May 2021.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Alibaba Group Holding
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global retail IT hiring activity in June 2021 with a 95.37% share, which marked a 75.03% drop over the previous month.
North America stood next with 3.24%, registering a 12.5% month-on-month decline. South & Central America was the third leading region with a 0.46% share and a flat growth over May 2021.
In the fourth place was Europe with a share of 0.46% and a month-on-month decline of 93.75%.Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.46%, registering an 87.5% drop over the previous month.
China commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with an 84.72% share in June 2021, a 76.54% decline over May 2021. Singapore featured next with a 6.94% share, up 7.14% over the previous month.United States recorded a 3.24% share, decline of 12.5% compared with May 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Alibaba Group Holding IT hiring activity in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.31%, down by 76.87% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 22.22% share, a decline of 44.19% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Senior job ads with 0.46% share, down 93.33% over May 2021.
