Sales and Related Occupations drive retail industry hiring activity
Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Sales and Related Occupations, which accounted for 16% of the total new job postings in Q2 2024 and were up by 32% year-on-year. Second highest were Management Occupations, which accounted for 10% and rise by 19% year-on-year, and third highest were Business and Financial Operations Occupations, which were 8% of the new job postings and 6% lower year-on-year.
Top five companies in retail industry accounted for 52% of hiring activity
The highest number of jobs were posted by Giorgio Armani with 325, followed by Kering with 279, while the highest increase was at Aldi Einkauf at 21%.
