The industry’s overall hiring increased by 22.58% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

Top five retail companies in South Korea’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 251.35% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of South Korea’s retail industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
Coupang posted 110 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a rise of 243.75% over the previous month, followed by Amazon with 17 jobs and a 240% growth. Lululemon Athletica with 1 IT job and NIKE with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Inter IKEA Holding recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.92%, up by 270% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 41.54% share, registered an increase of 217.65% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Senior job ads with 0.77% share, flat growth over July 2021, while Entry Level postings accounted for 0.77%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
