Sweden retail industry registered a 27.3% decline in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 19.56% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the retail industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 20.52% share in July 2021, recording decrease of 0.13% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Sweden retail industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden retail industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 62.26% in July 2021, a 45.9% drop over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a 13.21% share, an increase of 250% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 13.21%, registering a 58.82% decline from June 2021.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 9.43%, down 44.44% over the previous month.
Top five retail companies in Sweden IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 39.53% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden retail industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
H & M Hennes & Mauritz posted 25 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 44.44% over the previous month, followed by Inter IKEA Holding with 23 jobs and a 28.13% drop. Amazon with 2 IT jobs and ICA Gruppen with 1 jobs, recorded a 50% drop and an 80% decline, respectively, while Axfood recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.81%, down by 39.34% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 24.53% share, a decline of 31.58% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.66% share, down 62.5% over June 2021.
