Sweden retail industry registered a 4.1% decline in IT hiring activity in June 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 16.11% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.
Out of the retail industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 22.57% share in June 2021, recording an increase of 2.99% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Sweden retail industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 101.18% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden retail industry in June 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 69.41% in June 2021, a 73.53% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 20% share, decline of 29.17% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 9.41%, registering a 38.46% decline from May 2021.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 2.35%, down 66.67% over the previous month.
Top five retail companies in Sweden IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 12% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden retail industry during June 2021 over May 2021.
H & M Hennes & Mauritz posted 45 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a rise of 32.35% over the previous month, followed by Inter IKEA Holding with 32 jobs and a 14.29% growth. Amazon with 4 IT jobs and ICA Gruppen with 2 jobs, recorded a 20% drop and a 75% decline, respectively, while Hornbach Holding AGKGaA recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.24%, up by 5.45% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 22.35% share, a growth of 35.71% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.41% share, down 20% over May 2021.
