The US held a 35.6% share of the global consumer industry M&A deal value that totalled $18.65bn in October 2020.
In terms of deal activity, the US recorded 90 deals during October 2020, marking an increase of 25% over the previous month and a rise of 9.8% over the 12-month average.

1) Stone Canyon Industries Holdings’ $3.2bn acquisition of Morton Salt
2) The $1.6bn merger of HIMS and Oaktree Acquisition
3) LMP Automotive Holdings’ $608m acquisition of Atlantic Automotive Group and Atlantic Central Storage
4) The $550m asset transaction with The J.M. Smucker by B&G Foods
5) Twin River Worldwide Holdings’ asset transaction with Delaware North Companies Gaming & Entertainment for $120m.
