North America drives IT hiring at Amazon

North America emerged as the leading region in the global retail IT hiring activity in October 2021 with an 83.3% share, which marked a 6.63% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 9.05%, registering a 27.63% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 5.62% share and a 46.93% drop over September 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 1.43% and a month-on-month increase of 15.38%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.59%, registering a 22.5% drop over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with a 79.5% share in October 2021, an 11.49% growth over September 2021. India featured next with a 5.12% share, down 44.86% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 3.21% share, a decline of 49.7% compared with September 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Amazon IT hiring activity in October 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 46.32%, down by 0.33% from September 2021. Entry Level positions with a 37.71% share, a decline of 7.06% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 15.93% share, down 1.07% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.04%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
