The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 10.19% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.34% share in June 2022, recording a decrease of 0.21% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 53.49% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s consumer industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton posted 6 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a drop of 64.71% over the previous month, followed by The Body Shop International with 5 jobs and a 54.55% drop. Goodfood with 3 IT jobs and The J. R. Simplot with 3 jobs, recorded a 57.14% decline and a 25% decrease, respectively, while EllisDon recorded a decline of 25% with 3 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.53%, down by 47.73% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 23.68% share, registered a decline of 59.09% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 15.79% share, down 50% over May 2022.
