US-based company eBay’s IT hiring rose 15.9% in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 0.3% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 36.11% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2022, and recorded a 4.81% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops eBay IT hiring in July 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by eBay, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 87.39% in July 2022, and a 0.97% rise over June 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 5.04% in July 2022, and registered growth of 200%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 4.2% in July 2022, a flat growth from June 2022.
North America drives IT hiring at eBay
North America emerged as the leading region in the global retail IT hiring activity in July 2022 with an 81.51% share, which marked a 40.58% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 9.24%, registering a 47.62% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 5.88% share and a 41.67% drop over June 2022.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 3.36% and a month-on-month increase of 33.33%.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with a 73.95% share in July 2022, a 37.5% growth over June 2022. Canada featured next with a 7.56% share, up 80% over the previous month. China recorded a 6.72% share, a decline of 50% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead eBay IT hiring activity in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.34%, up by 32.73% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 36.97% share, a growth of 22.22% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 1.68% share, down 85.71% over June 2022.
