France’s consumer industry registered a 15.8% drop in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 18.96% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.49% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 0.18% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s consumer industry in June 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 38.6% in June 2022, registering a 4.76% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 35.09% share, a decrease of 47.37% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 19.3%, registering a 26.67% decline from May 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.26%, down 40% over the previous month.
Top five consumer companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 11.11% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s consumer industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
Unibel posted 18 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a drop of 33.33% over the previous month, followed by Pernod Ricard with 4 jobs and a 33.33% growth. Fujitsu General with 4 IT jobs and Societe BIC with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 200% growth, respectively, while HelloFresh recorded an increase of 200% with 3 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.19%, down by 31.25% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 21.05% share, registered an increase of 9.09% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 1.75% share, down 83.33% over May 2022.
