
France’s retail industry registered an 11.5% rise in IT hiring activity in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 8.19% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.
Out of the retail industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.07% share in February 2022, recording an increase of 1.39% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s retail industry’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s retail industry in February 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 62.76% in February 2022, registering a 38.1% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 19.31% share, a decrease of 6.67% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 14.48%, registering a 34.38% decline from January 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 2.76%, down 69.23% over the previous month.
Top five retail companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 24.84% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s retail industry during February 2022 over January 2022.
Amazon posted 46 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a rise of 12.2% over the previous month, followed by Veepee with 41 jobs and a 19.61% drop. Colibri- ManoMano with 15 IT jobs and Chanel with 8 jobs, recorded a 34.78% decline and a 42.86% decrease, respectively, while Carrefour recorded a decline of 79.17% with 5 job postings during February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.59%, down by 37.18% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.24% share, registered a decline of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.17% share, down 31.25% over January 2022.
