Japan-based company Fujitsu General’s IT hiring declined 6.7% in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 5.01% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 21.34% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2022, and recorded a 1.56% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Fujitsu General IT hiring in May 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Fujitsu General, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 69.23% in May 2022, and a 24.14% rise over April 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 15.38% in May 2022, and registered a decline of 46.67%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 7.69% in May 2022, a 73.33% drop from April 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at Fujitsu General

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global consumer IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 98.08% share, which marked a 7.27% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 1.92%, registering a 75% month-on-month decline.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s consumer industry IT hiring activity with a 26.92% share in May 2022, a 27.27% growth over April 2022. The UK featured next with a 25% share, down 53.57% over the previous month. Spain recorded a 17.31% share, an increase of 28.57% compared with April 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Fujitsu General IT hiring activity in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.31%, flat growth from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.15% share, a decline of 26.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.54% share, down 14.29% over April 2022.
