Germany’s retail industry registered a 1.7% drop in IT hiring activity in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 2.8% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.
Out of the retail industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.11% share in November 2021, recording an increase of 0.32% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s retail industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s retail industry in November 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 72.79% in November 2021, registering a 5.42% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 12.93% share, an increase of 46.15% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 11.22%, registering a 22.22% rise from October 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.04%, down 14.29% over the previous month.
Top five retail companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 32.98% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s retail industry during November 2021 over October 2021.
Zalando posted 103 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a rise of 71.67% over the previous month, followed by Schwarz Gruppe with 60 jobs and a 172.73% growth. Hornbach Holding AGKGaA with 38 IT jobs and Amazon with 36 jobs, recorded a 9.52% decline and a 43.75% decrease, respectively, while Gorillas Technologies recorded a flat growth with 13 job postings during November 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.39%, up by 15.25% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 17.69% share, registered a decline of 10.34% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.93% share, up 15.15% over October 2021.
