
Germany’s retail industry registered a 1.9% drop in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.91% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.
Out of the retail industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11.4% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 0.39% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s retail industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.77% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s retail industry in March 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 72.62% in March 2022, registering a 20.27% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 10.15% share, a decrease of 5.71% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 10.15%, registering a 19.51% decline from February 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.31%, up 366.67% over the previous month.
Top five retail companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 19.2% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s retail industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
Zalando posted 97 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a drop of 20.49% over the previous month, followed by Amazon with 92 jobs and a 39.07% drop. HORNBACH Holding AG & Co. with 42 IT jobs and Hornbach Holding AGKGaA with 42 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Schwarz Gruppe recorded an increase of 66.67% with 30 job postings during March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.92%, down by 7.82% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.62% share, registered a decline of 40.66% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 14.46% share, down 18.97% over February 2022.
