The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.3% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

Top five retail companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 31.27% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s retail industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
Zalando posted 60 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a drop of 28.57% over the previous month, followed by Hornbach Holding AGKGaA with 39 jobs and an 8.33% growth. Amazon with 32 IT jobs and adidas with 25 jobs, recorded a 65.96% decline and an 8.7% growth, respectively, while Schwarz Gruppe recorded a flat growth with 22 job postings during October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.98%, down by 25.82% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 20.38% share, registered a decline of 20.37% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.74% share, down 39.58% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.9%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
