Netherlands-based company Inter IKEA Holding ’s IT hiring declined 4.8% in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 3.21% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 3.2% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 0.1% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Inter IKEA Holding IT hiring in October 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Inter IKEA Holding, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 54.62% in October 2022, and a 6.56% rise over September 2022, while Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a share of 11.76% in October 2022, and registered growth of 55.56%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.76% in October 2022, a 36.36% drop from September 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at Inter IKEA Holding

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global retail IT hiring activity in October 2022 with a 63.87% share, which marked a 15.56% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 17.65%, registering a 22.22% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 15.13% share and a 28.57% rise over September 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 3.36% and a month-on-month increase of 100%.

Sweden commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with a 28.57% share in October 2022, a 30.61% decline over September 2022. US featured next with a 13.45% share, up 23.08% over the previous month. Netherlands recorded a 10.08% share, a decline of 20% compared with September 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Inter IKEA Holding IT hiring activity in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.59%, down by 21.5% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.97% share, a growth of 72.73% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.45% share, up 6.67% over September 2022.
