Out of the retail industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 14.93% share in May 2022, recording an increase of 2.74% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Ireland’s retail industry in May 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 100% in May 2022, registering a 9.09% decline over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Ireland’s retail industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
Amazon posted 45 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a drop of 13.46% over the previous month, followed by Etsy with 4 jobs and a 300% growth. Rakuten Group with 1 IT jobs, recorded a flat growth.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 76%, up by 35.71% from April 2022. Entry Level positions with an 18% share, registered a decline of 50% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 6% share, down 66.67% over April 2022.
