China-based company JD’s IT hiring rose 32.0% in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 39.88% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.

IT jobs claimed an 11.33% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 2.1% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops JD IT hiring in September 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by JD, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 83.28% in September 2021, and a 53.94% rise over August 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 12.13% in September 2021, and registered growth of 105.56%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 3.28% in September 2021, a 100% rise from August 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at JD

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global retail IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 97.05% share, which marked a 59.14% rise over the previous month.

North America stood next with 2.62%, registering a 300% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 0.33% share and a flat growth over August 2021.

China commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with a 97.05% share in September 2021, a 59.14% growth over August 2021. US featured next with a 2.62% share, up 300% over the previous month.

Junior Level jobs lead JD IT hiring activity in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 85.57%, up by 67.31% from August 2021. Entry Level positions with a 12.79% share, a growth of 62.5% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 1.64% share, down 44.44% over August 2021.
