Mexico’s consumer industry IT recruitment activity drops 1.3% in June 2022

Mexico’s consumer industry registered a 1.3% drop in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 10.29% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.07% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 0.18% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Mexico’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s consumer industry in June 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 33.33% in June 2022, registering a 27.59% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 30.16% share, a decrease of 13.64% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 23.81%, registering a 25% rise from May 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 9.52%, down 25% over the previous month.

Top five consumer companies in Mexico’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 7.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s consumer industry during June 2022 over May 2022.

Fomento Economico Mexicano SAB de CV posted 19 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Panasonic with 12 jobs and a 9.09% growth. The Coca-Cola with 4 IT jobs and Diageo with 4 jobs, recorded a 42.86% decline and a 33.33% growth, respectively, while Whirlpool recorded a flat growth with 4 job postings during June 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.95%, down by 8.93% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 14.29% share, registered a decline of 10% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 4.76% share, down 50% over May 2022.
