Netherlands retail industry registered a 1.5% drop in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.09% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.

Out of the retail industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.07% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 0.21% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Netherlands retail industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands retail industry in March 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 70.59% in March 2022, registering a 9.09% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 17.65% share, a decrease of 5.26% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 5.88%, registering a 40% decline from February 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 2.94%, up 200% over the previous month.

Top five retail companies in Netherlands IT recruitment activity in March 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 3.26% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands retail industry during March 2022 over February 2022.

Inter IKEA Holding posted 37 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 42.31% over the previous month, followed by Amazon with 18 jobs and a 21.74% drop. Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize with 12 IT jobs, recorded a 40% decline, while Zur Rose Group recorded an increase of 233.33% with 10 job postings during March 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.47%, up by 30% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.69% share, registered a decline of 33.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.84% share, down 38.46% over February 2022.
