Netherlands retail industry registered a 6.7% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 3.9% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.
Out of the retail industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.13% share in October 2021, recording a decrease of 0.53% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Netherlands retail industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands retail industry in October 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 79.71% in October 2021, registering a 20.29% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed an 11.59% share, a decrease of 66.67% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 4.35%, registering a 50% decline from September 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.9%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five retail companies in Netherlands IT recruitment activity in October 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 34.78% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands retail industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
Inter IKEA Holding posted 36 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a rise of 5.88% over the previous month, followed by adidas with 9 jobs and a 50% drop. Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize with 6 IT jobs and Amazon with 5 jobs, recorded a 64.71% decline and a 61.54% decrease, respectively, while Zur Rose Group recorded a decline of 60% with 4 job postings during October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.57%, down by 20% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.84% share, registered a decline of 61.76% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.14% share, up 16.67% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.45%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
