US-based company NIKE’s IT hiring declined 12.2% in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 12.61% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
IT jobs claimed an 11.55% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 0.12% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops NIKE IT hiring in October 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by NIKE, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 79.01% in October 2022, and a 15.79% drop over September 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 11.11% in October 2022, and registered a decline of 43.75%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 4.94% in October 2022, a 20% drop from September 2022.
North America drives IT hiring at NIKE
North America emerged as the leading region in the global retail IT hiring activity in October 2022 with an 80.25% share, which marked an 8.45% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 12.35%, registering a 58.33% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 7.41% share and a 33.33% drop over September 2022.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with an 80.25% share in October 2022, an 8.45% decline over September 2022. India featured next with a 12.35% share, down 56.52% over the previous month. Netherlands recorded a 3.7% share, a decline of 50% compared with September 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead NIKE IT hiring activity in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.56%, down by 26.23% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 37.04% share, a decline of 14.29% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.41% share, down 25% over September 2022.
