US-based company NIKE ’s IT hiring rose 12.9% in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 11.23% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.

IT jobs claimed an 8.28% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 0.14% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops NIKE IT hiring in September 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by NIKE, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 83.91% in September 2021, and a 12.31% rise over August 2021, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 6.9% in September 2021, and registered flat growth. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 6.9% in September 2021, a 25% drop from August 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at NIKE

North America emerged as the leading region in the global retail IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 70.11% share, which marked a 17.31% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 27.59%, registering a 60% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 2.3% share and an 86.67% drop over August 2021.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with a 67.82% share in September 2021, a 13.46% growth over August 2021. India featured next with a 17.24% share, up 50% over the previous month. China recorded a 9.2% share, an increase of 700% compared with August 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead NIKE IT hiring activity in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 50.57%, down by 2.22% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 34.48% share, a growth of 3.45% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.79% share, up 50% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.15%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
