
US-based company NIKE’s IT hiring rose 14.7% in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 7.94% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 12.93% share in the company’s total hiring activity in December 2021, and recorded a 3.8% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops NIKE IT hiring in December 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by NIKE, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 90.32% in December 2021, and a 25.84% rise over November 2021, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 5.65% in December 2021, and registered growth of 40%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 1.61% in December 2021, a 60% drop from November 2021.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at NIKE
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global retail IT hiring activity in December 2021 with a 37.9% share, which marked a 9.62% drop over the previous month.
North America stood next with 37.1%, registering a 2.13% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 24.19% share and a 150% rise over November 2021.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 0.81% and a month-on-month flat growth.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with a 37.1% share in December 2021, a flat growth over November 2021. India featured next with a 33.06% share, up 70.83% over the previous month. Netherlands recorded a 15.32% share, an increase of 216.67% compared with November 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead NIKE IT hiring activity in December 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 53.23%, up by 46.67% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 40.32% share, a decline of 3.85% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.65% share, down 36.36% over November 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.81%, recording a month-on-month decline of 66.67%.
