UK-based company Ocado Group’s IT hiring rose 14.6% in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 27.95% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 26.7% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2022, and recorded a 0.59% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Ocado Group IT hiring in July 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Ocado Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 71.05% in July 2022, and a 145.45% rise over June 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 11.84% in July 2022, and registered growth of 200%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 7.89% in July 2022, a 33.33% drop from June 2022.
Europe drives IT hiring at Ocado Group
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global retail IT hiring activity in July 2022 with a 94.74% share, which marked a 100% rise over the previous month.
North America stood next with 2.63%, registering a 60% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 2.63% share and a 100% rise over June 2022.
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with a 72.37% share in July 2022, a 175% growth over June 2022. Spain featured next with a 9.21% share, up 133.33% over the previous month. Poland recorded a 6.58% share, a decline of 54.55% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Ocado Group IT hiring activity in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 85.53%, up by 103.13% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with an 11.84% share, a growth of 12.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 2.63% share, flat growth over June 2022.
