Poland’s retail industry IT recruitment activity drops 10.3% in August 2022

Poland’s retail industry registered a 10.3% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.05% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.

Out of the retail industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 16.3% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 1.91% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Poland’s retail industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.67% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Poland’s retail industry in August 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 75.58% in August 2022, registering a 10.17% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 10.47% share, an increase of 50% over the previous month.

3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 4.65%, registering a flat growth from July 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.65%, up 100% over the previous month.

Top five retail companies in Poland’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 16.67% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Poland’s retail industry during August 2022 over July 2022.

LPP posted 29 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 26.09% over the previous month, followed by Amazon with 15 jobs and a 57.14% drop. Alimentation Couche-Tard with 9 IT jobs and Affirm Holdings with 9 jobs, recorded a 350% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while CCC recorded a flat growth with 8 job postings during August 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.23%, up by 27.78% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with an 11.63% share, registered an increase of 150% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.14% share, down 36.36% over July 2022.
