Poland’s retail industry registered a 5.2% drop in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.2% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the retail industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 18.16% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.12% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Poland’s retail industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Poland’s retail industry in July 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 85.29% in July 2022, registering a 10.77% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 8.82% share, a decrease of 68.42% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 2.94%, registering a 50% decline from June 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.94%, down 50% over the previous month.

Top five retail companies in Poland’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 28.26% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Poland’s retail industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Amazon posted 34 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 33.33% over the previous month, followed by LPP with 23 jobs and a flat growth. Ocado Group with 5 IT jobs and Miinto Group with 2 jobs, recorded a 54.55% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Alimentation Couche-Tard recorded a decline of 60% with 2 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.94%, down by 20.9% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 16.18% share, registered a decline of 38.89% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 5.88% share, down 55.56% over June 2022.
