Poland’s retail industry registered a 1.3% rise in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 1.12% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.

Out of the retail industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 23.89% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 1.94% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Poland’s retail industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100.98% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Poland’s retail industry in April 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 83.33% in April 2022, registering a 14.14% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 5.88% share, an increase of 100% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 3.92%, registering a flat growth from March 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 3.92%, down 20% over the previous month.

Top five retail companies in Poland’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 13.48% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Poland’s retail industry during April 2022 over March 2022.

Amazon posted 44 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a drop of 26.67% over the previous month, followed by LPP with 28 jobs and a 7.69% growth. Alimentation Couche-Tard with 15 IT jobs and NIKE with 8 jobs, recorded a 1400% flat growth and a 700% flat growth, respectively, while Veepee recorded an increase of 500% with 6 job postings during April 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.9%, down by 33.33% from March 2022. Entry Level positions with a 28.43% share, registered an increase of 81.25% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 16.67% share, down 22.73% over March 2022.
