June 2022 has seen a decrease of 10.91% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 7.12% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2022, registering a decrease of 0.7% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 60.61% in June 2022, a 41.18% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 24.24% in June 2022, marking a 61.9% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 6.06% in June 2022, a 33.33% drop from May 2022.

Amazon posted 28 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a decline of 45.1% over the previous month, followed by Carrefour with 4 jobs and a flat growth. adidas with 1 IT job and with jobs, recorded a 75% drop and a flat growth, respectively, while recorded a flat growth with job postings during June 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s retail industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with a 66.67% share in June 2022, a 42.11% decrease over May 2022. Haiti featured next with a 12.12% share, flat growth over the previous month. Chile recorded a 12.12% share, a growth of 100% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.64%, down by 34.38% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 24.24% share, registered a decline of 66.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.12% share, down 50% over May 2022.
