Spain’s retail industry registered a 5.2% rise in IT hiring activity in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.86% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
Out of the retail industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 15.1% share in May 2022, recording an increase of 0.82% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Spain’s retail industry’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s retail industry in May 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 94.2% in May 2022, registering a 75.68% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 2.9% share, a decrease of 33.33% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 1.45%, registering a flat growth from April 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 1.45%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five retail companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 58.14% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s retail industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
Amazon posted 44 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a rise of 120% over the previous month, followed by adidas with 17 jobs and a 6.25% growth. Veepee with 5 IT jobs and Cazoo Group with 1 jobs, recorded a 150% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Colibri- ManoMano recorded a decline of 80% with 1 job postings during May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.87%, up by 31.25% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.99% share, registered an increase of 66.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.14% share, up 75% over April 2022.
