
Sweden’s retail industry registered a 19.3% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 4.48% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the retail industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 19.66% share in September 2021, recording a decrease of 1.09% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Sweden’s retail industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100.91% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden’s retail industry in September 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 71.82% in September 2021, registering a 46.3% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 22.73% share, an increase of 66.67% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 3.64%, registering a 20% decline from August 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 1.82%, up 100% over the previous month.
Top five retail companies in Sweden’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden’s retail industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
Inter IKEA Holding posted 51 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a rise of 104% over the previous month, followed by H & M Hennes & Mauritz with 49 jobs and a 19.51% growth. Amazon with 5 IT jobs and ICA Gruppen with 5 jobs, recorded a 16.67% decline and a 66.67% flat growth.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 80%, up by 69.23% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 10.91% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.09% share, down 23.08% over August 2021.
