The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 7.98% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s retail industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
Amazon posted 62 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a drop of 39.22% over the previous month, followed by Howden Joinery Group with 29 jobs and a 45% growth. ASOS with 20 IT jobs and John Lewis Partnership with 20 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 13.04% decrease, respectively, while Cazoo Group recorded an increase of 5.56% with 19 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.44%, down by 14.16% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 15.63% share, registered a decline of 21.05% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 14.58% share, down 10.64% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.35%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
