The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 13.99% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s retail industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Amazon posted 2,985 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 18.22% over the previous month, followed by Walmart with 238 jobs and a 17.36% drop. CVS Health with 145 IT jobs and The Home Depot with 142 jobs, recorded a 31.82% growth and a 10.94% growth, respectively, while eBay recorded a decline of 22.73% with 68 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 51.41%, up by 9.99% from July 2022. Entry Level positions with a 29.08% share, registered an increase of 28.25% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 19.42% share, down 16.56% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.09%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
