Australia-based company Woolworths Group’s IT hiring declined 8.1% in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 16.68% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 2.12% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2022, and recorded a 0.21% decline over the last three-month average share.

Miscellaneous Computer Occupations tops Woolworths Group IT hiring in November 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Woolworths Group, Miscellaneous Computer Occupations emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 44.07% in November 2022, and a 23.81% rise over October 2022, while Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a share of 32.2% in November 2022, and registered a decline of 17.39%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.17% in November 2022, a flat growth from October 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Woolworths Group

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global retail IT hiring activity in November 2022 with a 91.53% share, which marked a flat growth over the previous month.

North America stood next with 8.47%, registering a flat month-on-month growth.

Australia commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with a 79.66% share in November 2022, a 20.51% growth over October 2022. India featured next with a 6.78% share, down 50% over the previous month. New Zealand recorded a 5.08% share, a decline of 57.14% compared with October 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Woolworths Group IT hiring activity in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.32%, down by 27.08% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 25.42% share, a growth of 87.5% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.25% share, up 200% over October 2022.
